Thank Goodness It's Summer Reading Challenge is open to anyone with a Pickering Library card, between 13 and 19 years of age.

Starting July 3rd register and participate throughout the summer by logging the books you read, writing book reviews, completing online challenges, and participating in our programs!

When you participate in the TGIS Reading Reading Challenge, you’ll get a shot at winning one of our AMAZING prizes.

During TGIS, you can read any book (including comics, graphic novels, manga, eBooks, audiobooks, books you own, and so on). For a book to count towards earning badges, it must be a book you have read THIS summer.

• Once you have read a book (or certain number of pages), you can earn your badges on Beanstack. For every 25 pages you read, you will earn one badge, which gives you ONE ballot, for our draw. You can only earn the number of badges that are available during the challenge (up to 3000 pages for the entire summer).
• You can earn extra ballots by completing challenges on our bingo card. One bingo square = 1 extra ballot
• If you are keen on attending programs this summer, you will receive one bonus ballot per Teen program attended. You will be given a secret program word during the event that you will need to enter into Beanstack to earn that badge.

We have some cool prizes this year! Some prizes are: an anime gift basket, gaming gift basket, instant camera, tickets to the ROM, tickets to Ripley's Aquarium, gift cards for Spotify, Cineplex, and more!

• July 3rd, TGIS Launch 3pm-5pm at Esplanade Park (next to Central Library)
• August 22nd, TGIS Wrap Up & Elite Draw 6:30-8:30 pm at Central Library
