Room Bookings

There are no COVID-19 restrictions or requirements related to room bookings at this time. Room bookings are subject to Provincial Government guidelines, and you will be informed if there are any changes.

Pickering Central Library Auditorium

  • Capacity: 100 people
  • Hours: Monday- Friday 10:00 am – 8:30 pm | Saturday 10:00 am – 4:30 pm | Sunday 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm
  • Room rates (Profit): $150 for 4 hours
  • Room rates (Non-Profit): $70 for 4 hours
  • Facilities (for any of these items, please confirm at the time of booking): chairs; tables; sink; small stage; lectern; digital projector and screen with audio option; and microphone. Piano available in the Auditorium for an additional charge of $25.

Pickering Central Library Large Meeting Room

  • Capacity: 12 people
  • Hours: Monday- Friday 10:00 am – 8:30 pm | Saturday 10:00 am – 4:30 pm | Sunday 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm
  • Room Rates (Profit): $80 for 4 hours
  • Room Rates (Non-Profit): $50 for 4 hours
  • Facilities (for any of these items, please confirm at the time of booking): digital projector, screen, easel, white board, small kitchen.

Payment must be received at least 3 business days prior to the rental period. HST and GST are included in all rates. There will be no refunds for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the booking. Cancellations must be made during business hours Monday to Friday. Note: There will be a $46.00 charge for NSF cheques. Groups must provide proof of charitable status to receive non-profit rates. Room set-up and clean up is the responsibility of the renter.

Pickering Central Library Collaborative Rooms

The Central Library has three private collaborative rooms available for the public to use, at no cost, on a first come, first served basis. These rooms for groups up to a maximum of 6 people (there is no minimum). A Pickering Public Library card, opens a new window in good standing is required to book the collaborative rooms. The rooms can be booked for 2 hours; this time can be extended if no one else is waiting to use the room. Each room includes a table, chairs, ample electrical outlets, a whiteboard (erasable markers are available upon request), and a garbage/recycling bin. Doors may be closed for additional privacy. Please note, although the collaborative rooms cannot be booked by the public in advance, one or more of the rooms may occasionally be booked for Library use.
