2025
Shortlist nominee for the Angus Mowat Award of Excellence, for the Library's outreach vehicle, Ovee, launched in 2024. This Ontario Public Library Service Award recognizes a commitment to excellence in the delivery of public library service.
2024
Ontario Library Association (OLA) Les Fowlie Intellectual Freedom Award and The Joyce Cunningham Award, jointly awarded to all Durham Region Public Libraries and Durham Region Children’s Aid Society, for their 2023 Drag Queen Storytimes collaboration.
The OLA Les Fowlie Intellectual Freedom Award recognizes courage shown by individuals and organizations in defending the rights of library patrons to full access to information.
The Ontario Library Boards' Association (OLBA) Joyce Cunningham Award honours collaborative efforts that have demonstrated high levels of collaboration and innovation to produce outstanding results.
2022
Shortlist nominee for the Angus Mowat Award of Excellence, for the Pickering Public Library Anti-Black Racism Working Group. This Ontario Public Library Service Award recognizes a commitment to excellence in the delivery of public library service.
2020
TD Summer Reading Club Award - Third Place in Canada. This award is given out to recognize and reward the most innovative and effective TD SRC programs run by public libraries across the country, in both English and French.
2019
W.J. Robertson Medallion for Ontario Public Librarian of the Year. The W.J. Robertson Medallion is presented by the Ontario Library Boards' Association to a public librarian who has demonstrated outstanding leadership in the advancement of public library service in Ontario.
2018
Minister's Award for Innovation for the Pickering Public Library Connect Program. This Ontario Public Library Service Award recognizes a successful new approach that demonstrates a positive impact in the community.

Canada's Safest Employers Psychological Safety Award - Silver Medal Winner. This award was presented by Canadian Occupational Safety and Thomson Reuters in recognition of the Library's efforts to promote workplace and employee mental health and awareness.
2015
TD Summer Reading Club Award - First Place in Canada. This award is given out to the library in Canada that implements the best, most creative and effective summer reading program getting kids more involved in reading, while also encouraging them to have fun.
