Claremont Library Collaborative (CLC)

The Pickering Public Library is looking to develop a Claremont community-based team of volunteers to help inform the creative rethinking of the Claremont Library experience.

Commitment:

  • 6 meetings over the span of one year (2023).
  • Meetings to be approximately 2 hours each.

Minimum Applicant Requirements:

  • Claremont or surrounding area (within 10 km) resident.
  • Able to attend weekday evening meetings in-person (some meetings may offer a virtual option).
  • 16 years or older.
  • Appointed Volunteers will be required to complete a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC). (Note the cost to conduct a VSC is $20 with the letter from the library for a discount).

How to Apply:

  • Complete the Expression of Interest (EOI) form below.
  • Paper copies are available in-library at all three locations. Please ask staff for assistance.
  • Deadline to apply is November 30, 2022.

Background:

The Library has recently gathered feedback from residents about refreshing the Claremont Library space and enhancing the library experience. We are looking for a group of community-minded volunteers to dive into the feedback and bring these ideas to life!
