Pickering Central Library Opens Public Computer Access

PICKERING, ON (July 9, 2020): Beginning July 9, Pickering's Central Library will offer public computer access on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays by appointment.

Limited walk-in access for public computers will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

Regular on-site service and access has not resumed. The George Ashe Library and Claremont Library remain closed until further notice.

The public computers available for scheduled appointments can be reserved one day in advance (beginning at 9:00 am the day before). Clients may reserve a computer for a 45- minute appointment, once a day. Appointments can be scheduled using the Library’s online calendar or by phoning the Library at 905-831-6265.

Walk-in access is also limited to 45-minutes. The last walk-in clients will be permitted one hour prior to closing.

Hours of operation for public computer access are:

  • Thursday: 9:30 am to 12:15 pm
  • Friday: 3:30 pm to 6:15 pm
  • Saturday: 2:00 pm to 4:45 pm

To access and loan materials, clients must use the curbside service. On-site browsing and access of materials remains unavailable. Curbside service is offered at the Central Library and George Ashe Library, by appointment only.
