The Pickering Public Library is committed to partnering with and supporting our local organizations and educational institutions to promote a lifelong love of reading, literacy, and a connection with the library. Currently, the Pickering Public Library offers a list of library visit options for Pickering schools and community organizations. We can come to you in-person, virtually or you can visit the library!
Please fill out the Library Visit Request Form below and a staff member will contact you shortly to discuss your request in more detail. All requests will be approved based on staff availability – we may not be able to accommodate all requests.
Library Card Registration:
We offer library card registration at our visits to everyone who wants one!
For school visits:
To ensure students receive library cards during a class visit, educators are encouraged to print the Library Card Application Form, distribute it to all students, and drop off the signed and completed forms to the Central Library at least one week before the scheduled visit. All Library card application forms must be signed by a parent or guardian.
For Pickering community organizations:
Leaders or organizers are encouraged to also print the Library Card Application Form if their participants are 13 or under and drop off the signed and completed forms to the Central Library at least one week before the scheduled visit. Those who wish to offer library card registration at an event, children 13 and under must provide a signed Library Card Application Form if their parent/guardians are not present. If accompanied by a parent or guardian, the adult must provide current photo ID and proof of address in Durham Region.
