Ovee [pronounced "OH-VEE"] is the Pickering Public Library's new outreach vehicle, featuring a custom-built interior designed for delivering Library services to residents across Pickering. Books, movies, and more are available for browsing and borrowing, and residents can have Ovee deliver requested holds during scheduled stops throughout the week.

PPL’s Ovee (short for ‘Outreach Vehicle’) visits preselected stops throughout Pickering to offer Library services in neighbourhoods located further from existing library facilities. All community members can browse the collection as well as participate in scheduled events during the listed timeframes. When visiting Ovee, you can sign up for a library card if you don’t already have one, pick up holds, and check out items, all from within the vehicle!

When placing a hold through the library's website, over the phone, or in person, you can select Ovee as your holds pick-up location from the location drop down list when selecting an item. Please check Ovee’s schedule via pickeringlibrary.ca/ovee to ensure you will be available to pick up your holds at the designated date and time. Note, available Ovee stops are subject to change. Please be sure to review present day options via the website.

Ovee is filled with a physical collection for clients to browse, borrow, and take home. There is something for all ages, including novels, entertaining non-fiction, multilingual materials, home and garden books, and much more!

Yes! Ovee can accept any Pickering Public Library returns, any materials borrowed from any Pickering Public Library location. Please hand your returned items to staff onboard and they'll take it from there.

Ovee offers various forms of events at select stops. These events can range from virtual reality to art sessions to children’s Storytimes. Please visit the events calendar for a detailed schedule.
