COVID-19 Service Updates

In accordance with the Province of Ontario's current pandemic guidelines, public libraries can be open to the public with no capacity limits. Masks are no longer required. Those who wish to wear a mask are welcome to do so. We ask everyone to remain considerate and respectful of the personal protective choices of others.

Clients can enter library facilities to access holds, collections, work and study space, public computers, photocopying, and printing at all Pickering Public Library locations. Public computer access is on a first come, first served basis. Clients will need their Library card to log onto the public computers.

Printing fees are waived for all vaccine receipts printed in the Library, at all locations. Staff at the Central Library and George Ashe Library can provide free lamination for vaccine receipts upon request. Please note, the Library does not offer general document laminating services at this time.

Visit Ontario.ca for more details on the Province's present day COVID-19 response.

Many Maker Space equipment and materials are once again available during limited hours for clients to use in the Central Library. Please refer to the Technology and Maker Space page for full details.

  • Upon arrival, please park in the designated curbside service parking (for Central and George Ashe, please park in the roundabout, while for Claremont please park as close to the front doors as possible). Call the phone number for the location to notify staff of your arrival and open your trunk or lower the window for the unoccupied back seat. Walk-up clients please call the location.
