Pickering Public Library Fall 2025 Book Sale
Join us at the Pickering Public Library this November for our much-anticipated Fall Book Sale!
It's the perfect opportunity to find great books while supporting your local library. Whether you're an avid reader, looking for the perfect gift, or just love discovering hidden literary gems, we have something for everyone. From fiction to non-fiction, children's books to adult literature, and so much more—don't miss this chance to stock up.
When:
- Friday, November 14, 10 am – 8 pm
- Saturday, November 15, 10 am – 5 pm
- Sunday, November 16, 12 pm – 3 pm (or while supplies last)

Want to pass the line and get first pick at the Book Sale?
When you support Pickering Public Library with a registered donation of $15 or more by November 7, you’ll be invited to skip the line. It’s our way of celebrating your impact on the community – with first choice of thousands of books, exclusive access to popular picks, light refreshments, and a free tote to carry your finds.

How do I get a First Pick Pass?
Complete this First Pick Pass donation form, opens a new window to select your desired First Pick Pass date and time, donate $15, and unlock your ticket to discover hidden gems before doors open to the general public.
Spaces for each date and time are limited and may be reserved with a donation, on a first come first serve basis, while availability lasts. Each First Pick Pass ticket grants one person early access entry during the selected time slot.
To ensure a positive experience for all, First Pick Pass holders are encouraged to arrive during their selected date/time slot.
Please note, all First Pick Pass donations are non-refundable and the date/time selected cannot be changed after the transaction has been completed. Only donations processed through the First Pick Pass donation form, opens a new window are eligible for a First Pick Pass.
Book Donations Welcome!
Help make our book sale a success by donating your gently used books. Here's what you need to know:
Donation Dates:

We will be accepting client book donations for 2 weeks leading up to the book sale, from Friday, October 31 - Friday, November 14.
Where to Donate:
- Drop off your books at the designated carts located near the second-floor Auditorium or on the first floor of the Central Library.
Donation Guidelines:
- Books must be in good condition, free from:
- Mildew, mold, dust, or dirt
- Bugs or water damage
- Spine damage, excessive highlighting, or handwritten notes
- Missing pages or covers
- If your books don’t meet these guidelines, staff or volunteers will not be able to accept them. Please consider donating such materials to another non-profit organization, or recycle/dispose of items in poor condition.
Important Notes:
- All donated items become the property of Pickering Public Library and will be sold at the Book Sale.
- We do not issue tax receipts for donated books.
