The below table outlines the loan period and renewal allowances for each material type. Hold requests are accepted on most materials that are in circulation.
Automatic Renewals
The Library offers automatic renewals on most physical items. An email notification letting you know whether your item was renewed or not will be sent 3 days before the item's due date. If the item was successfully renewed, the new due date will be listed. Most items can be renewed up to 4 times (unless someone else has requested the item).
Please note: Pickering Public Library no longer charges late fees, however, you will be charged the cost of the item plus a processing fee if it is not returned one month after the final due date. A notification will be sent if your item is overdue.

Goodbye Late Fees
Pickering Public Library will no longer charge late fees for material that is returned to the library. A charge for the cost of the item plus a processing fee will still be incurred if an item is not returned one month after the final due date.
