The below table outlines the loan period and renewal allowances for each material type. Hold requests are accepted on most materials that are in circulation.
Automatic Renewals
The Library offers automatic renewals on physical items. This means any items that are signed out on your library card will automatically renew on their due date (unless someone else has requested them or they have been renewed 4 times previously).
Please note: Pickering Public Library no longer charges late fees, however, you will be charged the cost of the item plus a processing fee if it is not returned one month after the final due date. A notification will be sent if your item is overdue.

Goodbye Late Fees
Pickering Public Library has waived all historic late fees and will no longer charge late fees for material that is returned to the library. A charge for the cost of the item plus a processing fee will still be incurred if an item is not returned one month after the final due date.
