Pickering Public Library introduces new opening hours

PICKERING, ON (July 22, 2021) – The Pickering Public Library (PPL) is pleased to announce its new opening hours.

Starting Monday, July 26, doors to both Central Library and George Ashe Library will open at 9:30 am instead of 11 am. The hours for these two locations will change to Monday to Friday from 9:30 am – 7 pm and Saturday from 9:30 am – 4:30 pm.

With these extended hours, staff hope more clients will be able to visit the Library for in-person services.

Claremont Library hours will remain the same during this time (Tuesdays from 3 – 7 pm and Saturdays from 2 – 5 pm). PPL has launched a community engagement initiative to seek input from the public on providing extended access to its Claremont location. Clients are encouraged to visit LetsTalkPickering.ca/ClaremontExtendedAccess to have their say. The survey will close on August 2, 2021.

For those who do not wish to enter the Library, Curbside Service remains available at all three locations.
